1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Bookkeepers Connect ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Bookkeepers Connect is a platform that connects businesses and individuals with qualified bookkeepers and accountants in Kenya. Our services include:

• Matching clients with verified bookkeeping professionals
• Facilitating communication between clients and service providers
• Providing a platform for service listings and reviews
• Processing payments and transactions

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of our service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Professional Services

Bookkeepers Connect acts as a platform connecting clients with independent professionals. We do not provide bookkeeping or accounting services directly. All professional services are provided by independent contractors.

We strive to verify the credentials of professionals on our platform but cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of their work. Clients are responsible for evaluating and selecting appropriate service providers.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms vary by service provider and will be clearly outlined in your service agreement. Generally:

• Platform fees may apply to transactions
• Payments are processed securely through our platform
• Refund policies are subject to individual service agreements
• All fees are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless otherwise stated

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to commit unlawful acts
• To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
• To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
• To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
• To submit false or misleading information

7. Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Bookkeepers Connect and its licensors. The service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of Kenya and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

8. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the service, to understand our practices.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Bookkeepers Connect, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
